This is a spreadsheet document I made for calculating the cost of connecting to AOL using local "long distance" numbers (you know, the kind that you get charged an arm and a leg for, but whose number is just down the road a couple miles). In any case, you can enter 10 most frequently numbers in this spreadsheet providing the duration of each call to that number and the cost of that call while entering these calls in the appropriate time period (DAY, EVENING, or NIGHT) which is typical of phone call charging schemes. As the information is entered into the spreadsheet the calculations will abound (provided, of course, that Auto Calulate is enabled) and you will find the cost per minute, total cost for each time period, total number of calls made (to all numbers), average cost per minute, and what time period would be the best time to use the phone (based on the lowest average cost per minute for each time period). It is really quite a simple spreadsheet. It is also quite FREE.
Try it out and tell me what you think. My e-mail address is SheldonNI (on America Online) and SheldonNI@aol.com from the Internet.
